Books that refuse mistakes

Every sale, payment and bank line lands in one set of books. The database itself refuses totals that don't balance, edits to anything you've already finalised and new records in a closed month, whoever or whatever tries.

  • Accounts set up on day one
  • Bank lines matched for you
  • Foreign currency handled
  • 19 checks before closing
  • 129 accounts ready for Malaysia
  • Fix a mistake by reversing it. The original stays.
  • Every recording, close and account change in a log nothing can erase

Bank

Drop in the bank statement

Bring it in as CSV, OFX, Excel, MT940 or PDF, with presets for thirteen Malaysian banks' exports. Each line gets a suggested match from your books: accept them all in one click, or check the unsure ones yourself.

  • Exact amount and date rank highest, then the same day, then within three days
  • Your rules first, then what it has learned, then defaults

Safeguards

Rules nobody can skip

Most software checks the rules on the screen. Cynco checks them again inside the database, so they hold for the app, the API and the assistant alike.

  • Totals that don't balance are refused
  • Closed months stay closed

The details

Accounts

Foreign currency
Exchange gains and losses recorded when an invoice or bill is settled, and foreign balances revalued at the end of each period.
Tags
Tag any line by channel, project or branch, then report on each.
Fixed assets
Equipment and other assets lose value on a straight-line or reducing-balance schedule, recorded each period.
Month end
Nineteen checks before you close a period, from whether the books balance to whether earlier periods are closed.
Audit trail
Every recording, close, account change and bank match is logged with who did it, in a log the database only ever adds to.
